Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF is a public film and arts university in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Brandenburg, located next to the historic Studio Babelsberg. Founded in 1954, it is Germany’s largest film school and offers bachelor’s and master’s programmes across filmmaking disciplines such as directing, cinematography, screenwriting, editing, production, animation, sound, acting, and film music. Teaching is strongly craft-based and project-oriented, combining artistic practice with research and reflection on media and society. The university hosts festivals and showcases and supports students through studios, workshops, and professional networks in the Berlin–Brandenburg media region.
