["The interdisciplinary-oriented joint degree in Applied Media Communication comprises contents from different disciplines. Besides modules providing knowledge on the theoretical background as well as on empirical phenomena of media communication in France and in Germany, the students are offered classes in intercultural communication, allowing them to better understand the methodological background of contrastive media studies. As media communication nowadays is strongly multilingual, students do not only participate in French and German language courses but also in English modules. These English modules put the focus on relevant topics such as public relations, the language of advertising or the structure of anglophone societies, to name only a few. The language courses in French and German familiarise the students with the key characteristics of languages for specific purposes, in particular the language of economics and law.The joint degree also integrates courses in social sciences, economics and international law."]
