Studienkolleg Alternative – Foundation Year Programme

["This is an in-person preparatory programme in which prospective students wishing to enrol in a Bachelor's programme at the University of Vechta obtain the required university entrance qualification.Participants of the "Studienkolleg Alternative" must complete two study modules from their desired degree programme as well as workshops on academic skills, in order to make sure that they are well prepared for enrolling in a degree programme.Credits obtained during the preparatory course can later be credited towards the respective degree programme.Participants who do not possess C1 German skills (required to enrol in a degree programme) may apply for our one-year intensive German language course (B2/C1).Last but not least, participants are invited to join leisure activities, making it easy to make new friends and feel at home.Applicants need B2 German language skills (B1 skills, if they are accepted to our one-year preparatory German course B2/C1).Student status: Participants can be enrolled as preparatory students if they wish and will receive an admission letter (e.g. for an application for a visa for study purposes).Please note: Successful completion of the "Studienkolleg Alternative" results in a university entrance qualification for a specific Bachelor's degree programme at the University of Vechta.
