["This is an in-person one-year intensive German language course for prospective students who are interested in studying at the University of Vechta (especially in the degree programmes/subjects social work, management of social services, gerontology, educational sciences, cultural studies and teacher training).The course will cover levels B2, C1 and C1+ as well as test preparation for the Telc C1 Hochschule exam (the exam itself is not part of the course). Participants will obtain the required German language skills to enrol in a degree programme at the University of Vechta.In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend workshops on academic writing/working methods and other topics relevant to their future studies. If they are interested, they can also attend seminars from their future field of study and obtain credit points that they can later transfer to their degree programme.Prospective students whose school diploma does not allow them to enrol in a degree programme without passing a Studienkolleg (foundation year programme) first can obtain the required university entrance qualification parallel to the one-year language course (see our preparatory programme "Studienkolleg Alternative" orhttps://www.uni-vechta.de/en/studienkolleg-alternative).Last but not least, participants of the language course are invited to join leisure activities, making it easy to make new friends and feel at home.Student status: Participants can be enrolled as preparatory students if they wish and will receive an admission letter (e.g. for an application for a visa for study purposes)."]
