["The MSc in Material Science focuses on understanding the structure, properties, and performance of materials at the atomistic and nanoscale levels. Compared to engineering programmes, it emphasises the design and fundamental understanding of functional materials rather than just their application in industrial systems.An international direction of the study programme is realised by our international research staff, regular talks of guest lecturers from abroad, and internships that can be undertaken all over the world. All mandatory courses are taught in English. The programme can be completed entirely in English. However, German language skills are highly recommended for internships (not required) or later work in regional industry."]
