["REMENA is an international English-language double degree MSc programme of the University of Kassel (UKAS) in Germany, the University of Monastir (UM) in Tunisia, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad in India. Additional modules on current topics dealing with REEE were implemented in the 2020 summer semester (from March) at the University of Sfax (US) in Tunisia and in the 2021 winter semester (from September) at the German University in Cairo (GUC) in Egypt. Common supervision of Master's thesis projects at US and the GUC is also possible. Further details are published on the REMENA website.The programme aims at building capacities to foster the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency concepts, markets and technologies worldwide. Students become familiar with institutions and cultures in Germany, Tunisia and/or India and receive first-hand advice from high-level professionals and experts in the energy sector.In addition to the usual technical topics, REMENA focuses on economic, ecological and regulatory policy dimensions of the energy sector. National and international energy and climate policies are treated together with energy-management legislation, intercultural and language aspects. Students holding a Bachelor's degree in social or natural sciences, economics, or engineering can apply to REMENA. The programme is open to all nationalities. The REMENA double degree is granted by either UKAS and JNTU or UKAS and UM, respectively.
