["The Master's degree in "Cultures and Languages of the Mediterranean" is an application-oriented degree programme that looks at spatial and cultural specifics of the Mediterranean. It deals with both historical foundations of the areas concerned and current social, political, linguistic and economic situations of the Mediterranean.Students acquire and develop specialised knowledge in Mediterranean concepts, such as the connection between natural landscape and cultural space, cultural dynamics, cultural theories, connectivity, migration, colonialism and post-colonialism, ethnocentrism versus multiculturalism, border studies and hybridity.The elective compulsory study section offers modules in three different areas: linguistics, themes and practical studies.
