About this course

["The Master's degree programme in Power Engineering prepares students for challenging tasks in management, research and development in the field of power engineering. Building on the foundations of the Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, students acquire in-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, electromagnetic field theory and power engineering. The course focuses on high-voltage and energy technology as well as the business aspects of developing and operating energy systems. The programme is rounded off with selected topics from the field of renewable energy technology.Graduates of the course are excellently prepared for research into innovative technologies in energy engineering, particularly with regard to different energy sources and economic aspects. They are able to transfer research results to industrial applications, develop innovative energy supply concepts and put them into practice. In addition, the programme qualifies students for management positions in industry, particularly in the development and operation of energy generation and supply systems.
