["The Bachelor’s degree programme in Digital Engineering aims to train qualified engineers in the fields of electrical engineering and information technology. In the first four semesters, basic training in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, and information technology is a compulsory part of the curriculum. The courses during these first two years of study are held almost exclusively in English. Students who do not have German language skills at level B1 or above must attend appropriate German courses during this period. In the third year of study, students have the opportunity to specialise in one of the two professional fields: Automation and Control or Information and Communication Systems. Corresponding compulsory modules must be completed within each of the two professional fields. Students also have the opportunity to select further modules according to their own interests. The courses in the fifth and sixth semesters are held almost exclusively in German. The independent work on a scientific topic represents the conclusion of the degree programme. The corresponding Bachelor’s thesis should be completed in parallel with the courses in the sixth semester."]
