["There is a growing worldwide need for well-trained experts in the field of raw materials, mining, and mine remediation. The aim of the international joint Master's degree programme in “Advanced Mineral Resources Development” (AMRD) is the acquisition of knowledge and competence in developing sustainability and environmentally friendly methods to handle raw materials and to operate mine sites.The study programme combines natural, engineering, and business sciences; environmental law; and general management of georesources.This joint degree programme involves the following universities: Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria; Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg in Germany; China University of Mining and Technology in Beijing; Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran; National Mining University in Dnipro, Ukraine; Technical University of Madrid, Spain; Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland; University of León, Spain; and Universidade de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal.The direct connection of the teaching content, especially the innovative research fields of the individual universities, gives the graduates the chance to start their professional careers in leadership positions in the designated field of this study programme."]
