["A successful energy transition requires the combination of environmental compatibility, supply security and affordability with innovative and intelligent climate protection. Therefore, alternatives to the currently used fossil fuels are urgently needed. In the context of the necessary cross-sector decarbonisation, hydrogen technology plays a central role in achieving the completion of the energy transition.Hydrogen is a versatile energy carrier and, at the same time, represents an ideal storage medium for regeneratively produced electric energy from photovoltaic or wind turbines as it enables flexible and long-term storage of energy. Thus, hydrogen technology is a key technology and pioneer towards a carbon-neutral era.Skilled professionals are urgently needed to meet the technical challenges of hydrogen in plant development and operation, thereby contributing to the increase in competitiveness in international energy markets. The Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) offers a transnational Bachelor’s degree programme in hydrogen technology engineering in collaboration with, and starting at, the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman, Jordan.Graduates of the Bachelor's degree programme in Hydrogen Technology Engineering will have a sound understanding of the design, construction, and operation of hydrogen facilities. Students take courses at GJU in a pre-year and then enrol at THWS while continuing their studies at GJU.Students graduate with a German university degree, which facilitates the potential of a continued residency in Germany for an initial period of one and a half years. This enables them to seek employment and to organise their entry into a career as engineers in a company."]
