About this course
The LL.M. in International Law and Sustainability at Leuphana University of Lüneburg equips lawyers to address the world's most urgent challenges: climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution and economic inequality.
The programme combines deep legal expertise with a sustainability focus, training you to shape the international legal frameworks that drive real change.
The programme runs over two years and is taught entirely in English. Year one takes place at Leuphana in Lüneburg, Germany, covering public international law, transnational private law, environmental law, energy law, ocean law and sustainability law. Year two is spent at one of four renowned partner universities of your choice.
Upon graduation, you receive two LL.M. degrees: one from Leuphana and one from your chosen partner university. Only 25 places are available per cohort. The programme starts on October 1 each year.
