About this course
The B.Sc. in Economics at Leuphana University of Lüneburg trains you to understand and solve some of the most pressing questions of our time. How do we best allocate scarce resources? What drives inflation and unemployment? How does globalisation affect prosperity? What economic tools can tackle climate change?
Taught entirely in English and internationally oriented, the programme combines rigorous economic theory with empirical research methods, mathematical modelling and statistical analysis. You learn to represent complex economic relationships in workable ways and apply them to real-world policy problems, across business, politics, research, education, IT and healthcare.
A core part of the programme is learning to work with data: mathematical models, statistical methods and computer programmes to independently analyse economic issues. In semester 5, you have the opportunity to spend time abroad at a partner university, expanding your subject knowledge alongside your intercultural and linguistic skills.
Your minor, the Leuphana Semester and Complementary Studies modules let you explore topics beyond economics and develop solutions for future challenges alongside students from all disciplines.
No tuition fees. 55 places per year. Starts October each year.
