["The desire to travel remains unbroken! The tourism industry has recovered from the setbacks of the COVID-19 pandemic and is reinforcing its status as one of the largest economic sectors worldwide. This development has positive outcomes, such as increased income and jobs, but global travel activities also lead to socio-cultural and ecological problems. These include acculturation, violation of social standards and human rights, environmental destruction, and contributions to CO₂ emissions, which exacerbate climate change. This is where the interdisciplinary study programme on "Sustainable Tourism" comes into play. The goal is to maximise the positive impacts of tourism while minimising its negative effects. This requires well-trained professionals who can shape the transformation of global tourism. As a student of our Sustainable Tourism programme, you will discuss current issues related to the tourism industry and develop practical and application-oriented solutions to these challenges. By incorporating content from the disciplines of tourism, sustainability, sociology, economics and ecology, we aim to equip you with comprehensive perspectives and qualify you as "change agents" for your future career."]
