["The InterGeeks Coding Academy is an internationally visible place for international students with a first university degree (e.g. Bachelor's degree) who want to start a career in the German IT industry. InterGeeks has a coordination and networking centre, as well as a counselling and training programme. The continuing education programme consists of two different CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) courses in web technology and artificial intelligence/data science, each lasting approximately six months. Participants can take either one or both continuing education blocks.Upon successful completion, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover issues a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), which corresponds to 27 ECTS at the Master's level.A minimum German language level of B1 is required to participate in the courses. To enable all suitable candidates to participate and to ensure a uniform language level, a preparatory German course consisting of 180 lessons + 90 hours of self-study at B1 level is offered once or twice a year.In addition to teaching IT skills, the project aims to increase the employability and labour market integration of participants. For this purpose, participants receive communication and job application training as well as workshops on how to deal confidently with different work situations and the work culture in Germany. Topics such as agile project management, rhetoric, (intercultural) communication in the workplace, career and resilience strategies are also covered, providing participants with tools to better deal with difficult situations."]
