About this course

["The Master's programme in Physics at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is a programme which is specially tailored to let the students take advantage of our particular strengths. The main research topics at the Department of Physics are soft matter physics, solid state physics & nanophysics, quantum optics & quantum information, plasma physics and medical physics\biophysics. Every Master's student has to choose two of these research topics as focus areas. Each focus area contains an experimental as well as a theoretical module. At the end of the programme, research work is carried out in one of the research groups at the Department of Physics during the Master's thesis.Additional modules in other areas of physics, such as laser physics, astrophysics, computational physics, and advanced quantum mechanics are offered on a regular basis."]
