The application window opens on 15 November in the year before the semester starts. The deadlines are as follows: For international students requiring a visa to study in Germany: for the winter semesters starting 2026/27 from 15 November of the previous year to 15 January of the academic year. For international students not requiring a visa to study in Germany: for the winter semester 2025/26 from 15 March to 15 September, all subsequent winter semesters (starting 2026/27) from 15 November of the previous year to 15 September of the academic year.
