About this course

["The degree programme has a strong focus on applied chemistry, with an emphasis on sustainability and practical experience. All students receive an in-depth, comprehensive education in all the important areas of modern chemistry. In addition to the basics of inorganic, organic, physical, and technical chemistry and analytical methods, students learn about nuclear chemistry as well as polymer and plastics technology. After completing their basic studies in the first three semesters, students have the option of focusing their interests in advanced sustainable chemistry or Bio-Sciences including Biotechnology. Our modern, well-equipped labs play a major role in ensuring that students are later able to apply their knowledge to their chosen careers. Advanced students plan projects together, work towards a common goal, and then present the results in a written report as well as to the class.Students can complete their Bachelor's projects in industry or at the nearby Jülich Research Centre (http://www.fz-juelich.de) as well as in the university labs. Some students choose to continue in a Master's programme, such as our European Master of Science in Nuclear Applications, our Master of Science in Applied Polymer Sciences, or another Master's programme offered here or at another university.More details about the programme are available on our website:https://www.fh-aachen.de/en/studies/degree-programmes/applied-chemistry-bsc."]
